Westport A.C. have amassed a total of 13 points already after day one and two in the National Juvenile Championships. There were some terrific performances on both days. Day one started with Caoimhe King winning gold in the U-19 Triple Jump with a new Championship record and a new Junior record of 12.29m. Westport A.C. Athlete Wins Gold in the BUCS

Congratulations to Pamela Hughes who won gold in the prestigious British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships in the Sheffield last weekend. She jumped a seasons best of 1.77m. Well done Pamela.

Mayo Juvenile Indoors

Mayo Athletics Awards Night

The magnificent achievements by Westport athletes in 2009 were reflected in the number of awards won both individually and by the club at the annual Mayo Awards ceremony which was held in Balla on Friday 26th February.
Outstanding achievement awards went to Caoimhe King for her record breaking year in triple jump, Pamela Hughes for winning the ladies high jump at the National Senior Indoor Championships, Cian McManamon, Niamh McLoughlin and Clara Tierney all of whom won two gold medals at the...
